Stacy Lynn Sheats, age 41, went with the angels on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
Born in Wilmington, DE on January 3, 1984, she was the daughter of Donna M. (Baer) and the late Jeri A. Sheats, Sr. Stacy attended Middletown High School in the early 2000’s.
She was a vibrant soul who cared deeply for all she knew. Stacy walked this world with kindness and compassion in her heart. She found peace in late night car rides, music blaring with friends. Stacy loved the sun and the beach but only with swimmie shoes. Her infectious laugher could improve anyone’s mood. She was always generous with whatever she had and did not judge people for their faults but celebrated them for who they were. Stacy made sure her children inherited her best features and she will fiercely live through them.
In addition to her father, Stacy was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Robert Baer; and one of her best friends, Kristy Long. She will be dearly missed by her mother, maternal grandmother, brother, fiancée, many friends and family blood and choice. Most deeply by her older daughter Alexis. and her two youngest Michael and Katarra Sheats.
A visitation only for family and friends will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. Services and interment will be held privately.
