Steven Michael “Mike” Marvel, age 65, of Elkton, MD, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023.
Born in Wilmington, DE, on September 12, 1957, he was a son of the late David A. and Betty J. (Jackson) Marvel. Mike worked as a self-employed truck driver and mechanic for many years.
Mike found his peace by the water, spending his free time boating and fishing. Always one to engage in a project, he enjoyed restoring fast cars.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his siblings, David Marvel and Debbie Marvel. He is survived by his children, Christopher M. Marvel, Steven Michael Marvel, Jr. (Maria), and Kelley L. Vari (Scott); sister, Michele Shanor; and 7 grandchildren.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will be held privately.
