Susan K. “Susie” Lewis

Susan K. “Susie” Lewis, age 77, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Monday, April 11, 2022.
Born in Milwaukee, WI, on May 13, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Rita (Steir) Bennett. Susie was a dedicated homemaker to her family. In her spare time, she loved cross stitching and traveling. Most of all, spending time with her family and friends was what she cherished most.
In addition to her parents, Susie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John W. Lewis, Sr.; siblings, Judy Scalisch and Jim Bennett. She is survived by her loving children, Jonel McCormick (Ben), John Lewis, Jr., and Jim Lewis (Elaine); siblings, John Bennet (Judy), Elaine Roberts (Jay), Barbara Koehler (Ralph), Lois Leedy (Bill), and Patricia Peterson (Terry); grandchildren, Kaitlin McCloskey, David Johnson, Jr., and Ryan Johnson.
A visitation for friends and family will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Friday, April 15, 2022, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will be held privately.
