Theresa J. “TJ” Twaddell, age 59, of Wilmington, DE, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.

Born in Wilmington, DE on July 12, 1964, she was a daughter of the late Jacob Twaddell and Theresa (Panaro) Spear. She loved participating in the band, especially when she had the opportunity to compete in Great Britain. TJ worked at several places including Bowlerama and Shearson Lehman of Wilmington, DE. In addition to her parents, TJ was preceded in death by her significant other, Ronald MacCord. She is survived by her sister, Marcia Klair (Robert); nieces and nephews that were like her own children she never had, Matthew Dillon II, Laura Jannie, Kristin Klair, Dakota Holdren, John Dillon, Kristopher Klair, Jennifer Klair, and Remee Harper Sr.; great-nieces and great-nephews who were her precious pride and joy, Zoey, Nathaniel, Aaliyah, Remee Jr., Sophia, Kaydon, Chloe, Kamron, Ashton, Willow, and Matthew III; stepchildren, Dawn Roberts (Gary) and Paul MacCord (Debbie); and their children, Jeffery, Katalina, and Lauren Fields.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Friday, September 15, 2023, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. My condolences to her family

  • Theresa was my mother’s roommate at Manor Care from late 2018 till her passing in late 2020. Although I saw my mom every day, Theresa was a huge blessing in letting me know about things that happened when I wasn’t there. This became even more important during Covid when we couldn’t visit. I am eternally grateful to Theresa for the care and concern she showed toward my mother. And to me, by keeping me informed. What a good, kind heart she had!! I was also always impressed by Theresa’s ability to keep an optimistic outlook despite the health problems that plagued her – she was amazing! I’m sad that she’s gone but happy that her spirit is finally free to fly like the angel that she is. Theresa was a real blessing to everyone who knew her!
