Born in Philadelphia, PA on February 27, 1982, she was a daughter of James Thomas McGhie and Edith Geraldine (Foy) McGhie. Terry was a resident of Wilmington for the last 27 years. She was known as the life of the party, kind, friendly, and talkative to anyone around. Terry always helped others in need whenever she could, especially her sister with her children. She was an amazing aunt and absolutely loved her daughters whom she spent quality time with whenever she could. She especially enjoyed spending time at Crystal Beach with her girls and their aunt Diane. Terry was a graduate of the University of Delaware, but fulfilled her passion of working in the food industry where she could be a social butterfly. Most recently she worked in the food and nutrition department in the Christina School District where she thoroughly enjoyed serving meals to school aged children. Terry will be truly missed and never forgotten by her loving family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Terry is survived by her two daughters, Falynne (9) and Morgan (4); sister, Colleen McGhie (Kelly); niece, Leah; nephews, Shane and Robert; significant other and father to her children, Dale Murphy; and many other adoring family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12 noon at St. Helena R.C. Church, 602 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE. Interment will be held privately at SS. • I am writing to you today to share a unique and comforting Bible message.
One of the saddest things someone can experience is the death of a loved one. Do you think the dead can ever live again?

The Bible often compares death to sleep (Psalms 13:3) Just as a person who is asleep is unaware of what is happening around him, the dead are not conscious of anything.

There is a promise of hope in the Bible. It teaches that God can awaken the dead as if from sleep and give them life again. At Acts 24:15 it says “There is going to be a resurrection.”.

The Bible offers much needed comfort for those who are grieving and explains God’s promise of bringing the dead back to life.
