Thomas R. Bitting

Thomas R. Bitting, age 69, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, August 24, 2023.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on October 8, 1953, he was a son of the late Henry L. and Rose (Borelli) Bitting. Thomas worked as a mechanic at Chimes Delaware for many years.

Thomas loved to spend his free time outdoors. He enjoyed traveling, camping, and visiting the beach as often as possible. Thomas also had a passion for motorcycles and could often be found going on a ride.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Bitting. He is survived by his loving wife, Madeline A. (Carroll) Bitting; stepchildren, Denise Kaufman (Charles) of Middletown, Robert Stiles (Sherry) of Newark, and Michael Stiles (Tracie) of Newark; siblings, Henry Bitting (Terry) of Philadelphia, PA, James Bitting of FL, and Nancy Dunalo of Philadelphia, PA; step grandchildren, Jonathan, Austin, Michael, Ryan, Bobby, and Zachary; sister-in-law, Patricia Owens; and several nieces and nephews.

All services will be held privately.
