Tina Veen
Tina Veen, age 71, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on June 29, 2026.
Tina was the beloved wife of Michael Veen, with whom she shared 50 wonderful years of marriage. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud Nana, and faithful friend. Family was the center of her world, and her greatest joy came from caring for those she loved.
Tina had a special gift for making every holiday magical, especially Christmas. She proudly hosted Christmas Eve each year, wore a different Christmas sweater every day throughout December, and delighted in creating lasting memories for her children and grandchildren. Her creativity and generosity shined through the thoughtful crafts and handmade gifts she shared with family and friends. She never missed a baseball game, soccer game, dance recital, or any opportunity to cheer on her children and grandchildren. Her love was constant, unconditional, and felt by everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Veen; her children, Chris Veen and his wife, Melina Selimis, Jennifer Veen, and Michael Veen and his wife, Jamie Veen; her cherished grandchildren; and many extended family members and dear friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE. A second visitation will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the funeral home, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. A committal service will follow in the chapel of Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for the countless memories she gave us and the love she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
