Tracey N. West, age 46, of Newark, DE, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025.

Born in Wilmington, DE, on January 13, 1979, she was the daughter of Pamela J. (Meade) Sewitsky. Tracey worked as a waitress at Applebee’s in Newark.

Tracey enjoyed challenging her friends to a game of pool or bowling. She could often be found listening to music, and loved sunflowers. Above all, Tracey cherished the time she spent with her family.

Tracey was preceded in death by her stepfather, William J. Sewitsky. She is survived by her children, Kayla M. Hammond, Elijah N. West, and Jaydan C. West; mother, Pamela Sewitsky; brother, Michael B. Sewitsky; best friend, Crystal N. Lawhorn; and aunts, Debra A. Meade and Donna Kaiser.

A celebration of Tracey’s life will be held from 7 pm until 10 pm on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the George Wilson Community Center, 303 New London Road, Newark, DE.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tracey’s memory to a charity of the donor’s choice.
