Vincent F. “Big Boy” Ciccantelli, age 81, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, April 9, 2026.
Born in Wildwood, NJ on March 9, 1945, he was a son of the late Vincent and Doris Mae (Able) Ciccantelli. Vincent proudly served in the United States Army. He made his career working on the assembly line at General Motors for 30 years until his retirement.
An avid sports fan, Vincent loved to cheer on the Los Angeles Rams and Philadelphia Phillies. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling. Vincent could often be found listening to Elvis Presley, the Beach Boys, and Frank Sinatra.
In addition to his parents, Vincent was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. (Wilson) Ciccantelli; and brothers, John Ciccantelli and Louis Ciccantelli. He is survived by his children, Wanda Mullins (Gary), Rita Mullins, Sandy Ciccantelli, Angela Hensley, and Vincent L. Ciccantelli (Shannon); sisters, Mary Powell and Theresa Bailey; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11:30 am on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11:30 am. A committal service will follow in the chapel of Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
