Vincent Joseph “Vinnie” DiMenco

January 14, 1982 - June 17, 2018

Vincent Joseph Vinnie DiMenco, age 36, of Wilmington, DE, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 17, 2018.

Born in Wilmington on January 14, 1982, he was the son of Dominick J. and Terry L. (Sinnott) DiMenco. Vinnie graduated from A.I. duPont High School in 2000 and currently worked as a sprinkler fitter, belonging to Local Sprinkler Fitters Union 669. Always a joy to be around, he loved having fun with his family and friends.

Vinnie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mariaelena P. Watts and Dominick P. DiMenco. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Nicole M. DiMenco; maternal grandfather, Lee M. Watts; paternal grandmother, Virginia M. DiMenco; aunt, Nancy DiMenco-Cameron (Doug); uncle, Michael A. Sinnott (Mimi); and several cousins.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Friday morning, June 22, 2018 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a memorial service will be held at 11 am. Interment will be held privately.

He will be seriously missed in our neighborhood. He had a wonderful personality and his smile lit up a room. I will miss our neighborly get togethers on our patios/decks.   • I am so sorry for your loss. I remember growing up with Vinnie back at St. Peter’s. We spent all of our summers together. He was my best friend as a kid. I still think of him to this day after not seeing him for 30 years. I will always remember him as the happy kid I grew up with. Sending all my love.
