Vincent R. "Vince" Pini - Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Homes & Crematory

Vincent R. “Vince” Pini

September 19, 1964 - February 27, 2025

Vincent R. “Vince” Pini, deeply loved father, brother, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at the age of 60.  He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and gentleness.

Born in Wilmington, DE, on September 19, 1964, he was a son of the late John A. and Louise F. (Elder) Pini, Sr.  Vince found happiness in life’s simple pleasures, such as time with family and friends, a bright sunny day at the beach, a fountain Coca-Cola, interior decoration, antique shopping, volunteering, and watching a good movie.  He had an effortless way of making others feel special, and found joy in bringing happiness to others by giving gifts and making others laugh with his quick wit.  His gentle spirit and boundless generosity will be so dearly missed and never forgotten.

Vince was a devoted father to his daughters, Kerry Ann and Jillian.  They cherished the time they had together, and especially loved to share meals, go to the beach, and critique cheesy horror movies together. His love was an unwavering support in their lives.

Vince is survived by his daughters; siblings, John Pini, Jr., Ralph Pini, Anthony Pini, and Loretta Pini; nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews; and friends, who will carry his memory forward with so much love and gratitude.  While we will miss him each day, we take solace in knowing that his spirit lives on in the love and generosity we will share with others.

We love you always Vince, Dad, Uncle Vince, Brother.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9 am until 10:30 am on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.

  • I opened today’s News Journal and saw a name from the past: Vincent Pini. I immediately thought of a young man with a big smile, laughing without being loud, always helpful. I remember Vince from my years working at Discover Card, 1987-1997. I’m sorry to hear he has passed at a young age, 60. (I’ll be 67 this year so I feel 60 is still young!) • Vince became my supervisor at Delmarva Power back in the 90’s and even after he moved on in his career with the company, we continued our friendship. I remember when Kerry Ann and Jillian were born and how proud he was of them. We’d meet for dinner every other month this pass year and catch each other up on his girls and and mine and what they were doing. I’ll miss doing that and seeing that great smile and yes, his wit.

My dear cousin and friend – my heart aches knowing you are not here to spend time with or tell my secrets to! We have so many memories together: trips to your beach place, walking your beloved dogs, Riley and Hal’s, baking in the sun, drinks at Fins, outlet shopping, laughing until our sides hurt! You always made me smile and I loved when you told me I looked “sharp” in a new outfit! Vincent, I will miss beach trips to OC Maryland, walking the beach for seashells, eating crabs and seeing a good band play on a hot summer night! I will never forget you and your friendship will be so greatly missed- I know I can speak for both Chuck and I when I say you were loved so much and will forever be our favorite- until we see each other again someday… love you
