Virginia G. “Ginny” Havens

Virginia G. “Ginny” Havens, age 86, of Delaware City, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, October 26, 2023.
Born in Wilmington, DE, on March 1, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Taylor Price and Edna Virginia (Yearsley) Jackson. Ginny dedicated her life to taking care of her family as a talented homemaker.
Ginny was a life member of the Delaware City Recreation Club, where she enjoyed bowling in the women’s and mixed leagues. She was a captain and secretary of bowling leagues.
In addition to her parents, Ginny was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Havens; and son-in-law, Dennis Moore. She is survived by her children, Donna K. Moore, Frank P. Havens (Leigh Ann), Belinda L. Hall (Ivan), and Lawrence J. Havens (Helen); many nieces and nephews; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ginny’s memory to First Presbyterian Church of Delaware City, P.O. Box 4105, Delaware City, DE 19706.

She was and always will be the most compassionate, and always had a smile no matter the circumstances, one of the greatest aunts that anyone could ever have had in their lives! She will be missed, until we meet again! Live you see you soon in heaven!
