Walter Merrill “Wally” Anderson III

Walter Merrill “Wally” Anderson III, age 62, of Bear, DE, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
Born in Altoona, PA on April 9, 1963, he was a son of the late Walter Merrill and Betty Zane (Peters) Anderson, Jr. Wally was a graduate of Christiana High School. He made his career as an assembler at General Motors for over 30 years. Wally enjoyed relaxing at the beach and visiting car shows in his free time. Wally will be forever loved and missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Wally was preceded in death by his siblings, Debbie Anderson, Tammy Anderson, Gary Kauffman, and James Burget. He is survived by his siblings, Patricia “Kay” Barczak and Kevin Anderson; step-mom, Virginia Zlock-Anderson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
