Walter S. Koroljow

Walter S. Koroljow, age 83, of Newark, DE, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
Born in Poland on March 28, 1942, he was a son of the late Sergei and Maria (Lekgher) Koroljow. Walter immigrated to the United States with his family when he was 5 years old. He earned his PhD in physics from Temple University. Walter made his career as a physicist at Booz Allen Hamilton.
In his spare time, Walter enjoyed challenging his loved ones to a game of chess. He was an avid bicyclist and a member of the Potomac Peddlers for many years. Walter later began race walking and also had a passion for fast cars.
Walter is survived by his loving wife, Susan (Cicinato) Koroljow; son, Alexander Koroljow; stepson, Ian Corson; grandchildren, Jacob R. Corson and Nathan A. Corson; and sister, Laura Dmohowski.
All services will be held privately.
