William “Bill” Howard Jackson, Jr.

December 18, 1958 - April 26, 2024

William “Bill” Howard Jackson, Jr., age 65, of Wilmington, DE, went home to be with the Lord on the afternoon of Friday, April 26, 2024.

Born in Brownsville, PA on December 18, 1958, he was the son of William H. Jackson, Sr. and the late Lettie (Henderson) Wilson. Bill received a full scholarship at Loomis Chaffee School. He then continued his studies at the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated in 1981 with a degree in civil engineering. Dedicated to his faith, Bill ministered for over 40 years and was a passionate and active Associate Pastor for A Higher Dimension Church for the last 8 years. He also authored two Christian books, Wisdom Too, Works by Love and The People vs. The United States.

In addition to his mother, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Janelle Jackson-Marshall. He is survived by his father, William H. Jackson, Sr.; children, Renda, Rebekah, Rachelle, and Sean Jackson; sisters, Danielle Jackson-McCully and Nekole Martin; grandchildren, Cameron Reid, Camille Johnson, Travis Johnson, and 1 granddaughter due in July; nieces, Tasha and Heaven; nephews, Tony, Chris, and Jalen; former spouse, Lena Jackson-Hughes; and a host of many other family members and dear friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE. Interment will be held privately.

  • I met Bill when we were roommates at the Loomis-Chaffee school in Windsor, Connecticut. Bill was a serious student and a role model for many including myself. I transferred out of Loomis so I didn’t get to graduate together but seeing these early photos in the montage takes me right back to 1976. That smile.
