William F. Gould, Jr.
June 11, 1941 - March 16, 2025
William F. Gould, Jr. was born on June 11, 1941 to Margaret (Kendrick) and William F. Gould, Sr. in Queens, NY. He was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson Vocational Technical High School and an alumna of Boy Scouts. He served with the US Navy on USS Hunley. He was employed for 27 years with Lockheed Electronics. He worked at Cerberus briefly before retiring from PATH Rail Transit in 2012.
Bill and his wife, Lucille (Muhs) resided in Middlesex, NJ until 2013. He was a Life Member of the Middlesex Fire Department, H.C. Pierce Hose Company. He volunteered with the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Our Lady of Mt Virgin parish and FISH. He owned an electronics repair business, enjoyed camping and traveling when he wasn’t renovating their home. Bill and Lucille moved to Middletown, DE and spent winters in St Petersburg, FL.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, James Gould, brothers-in-law, Arthur Hulse and James Muhs, Sr., and sister-in-law, Clare Gould.
Bill and Lucille were married for 59 years. He is survived by his sister, Margaret Hulse and brother, George Gould plus sisters-in-law Maryanne Muhs and Carol Gould.
His children, Laura Rasmussen (Thomas), Jonathan (Patricia Powers), Timothy, and Rita (Jeremy Henderson) and grandchildren Cameron Rasmussen, Wren Rasmussen, Julian Henderson and Olivia Gould have an abundance of tales and gadgets to keep his memory near. Bill’s family included many cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren and he was fortunate to have the company of lifelong friends, John Alversa and Bob McGreevy.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 pm until 8 pm on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 am on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at St. Joseph Parish, 319 East Main Street, Middletown, DE. A committal service will begin at 2 pm on Monday, March 31, 2025, in the chapel of Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.

Lucille and family,
You have had many years of caring for Bill. Your courage and attitude has been unbelievable great because of your love, kindness and faith in Our Lord. These times will be difficult, but I know Jesus will be there to hold you up and give you strenght and so will I. I will always remember the wonderful 60+ years we have share with you and Bill. I am here for you for the rest of our life time. May Bill rest in peace in the arms of Jesus. Your children have been a blessing to both you and Bill. You guys did a wonderful job molding them into adulthood. Many Blessing for peace and comfort to all of you.
