William Paul Banghart

William Paul Banghart, age 72, of Middletown, DE, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026.

Born in Chester, PA on September 2, 1953, he was the son of the late William M. and Catherine J. (Greener) Banghart. Paul was an entrepreneur from a young age, turning his passion for cars into a business. He owned his first gas/service station at only 20 years old, and went on to own several other businesses throughout the years. Paul retired in 2019 from his last business, Kitchen and Bath by Design, that he ran with his wife, Maria.

Paul could often be found on the golf course or woodworking. He found peace out on the water in his boat or enjoying a ride in his car. Paul was happiest spending time with his family and dogs whom he loved.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Maria M. (Albert) Banghart; K9 daughter, Foxy; children, Kati (Banghart) ODay (Wryan), Lauren Banghart, and Michael Banghart (Kierstin); grandchildren, Ashley, Madison, Malia, Brianna, Hudson, Josephine and Everly; and great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Cooper.

All services will be held privately.
